PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global leader in manufacturing consultancy is looking to add a detail oriented DisassemblyTechnician to our consulting lab team in Chicago. • Pay Rate: $26 per hour

• Contract length: minimally 1 year – for the right candidate there is a potential opportunity to be hired on

• Shift: 1st shift working 2-3 days/week (can be flexible for the right candidate)

As a Technician, you will disassemble products to assist in the analysis of the manufacturing processes as well as composite materials. In addition, you may perform precise measurements as needed (dependent on product).

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

• Operates equipment and disassembles various components through the use of pre-set up tools and fixtures

• Assists in the review and comparison of similar components and assemblies.

• Prepares product for analysis through disassembly and/or cutting cross sections of the product using hand tools, angle grinders and saws-all.

• Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers to document product dimensions and specifications

Qualified candidates should have:

• High School education or equivalent.

• Electronics and mechanical vocational training desirable.

• 4-5+ years experience in an assembly/disassembly capacity

• Adept at the use of hand tools and measurement devices

• Strong attention to detail

• Moderate computer skills (ability to enter data)

Pay Details: $26.00 per hour
