PDS Tech Inc Quality Control Specialist in Alachua, Florida

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Specialist in Alachua, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Material Planning and Acquisition o Manage material flow end-to-end based off the Quality Control Analytical testing schedule

  • Schedule material ordering and transfers to maintain project timelines for GMP and Stability testing

  • There is potential to be involved in the material ordering for Assay Qualifications

  • Create WBOMs (Working Bill of Materials) for client approval; includes performing the department review prior to client approval

  • Create MR (Material Requests) based on testing needs. o Maintain non-ERP ordering trackers (short-text materials outside of the SAP system)

  • Monitor present and expected future inventory levels based off material availability and testing needs

  • Provide updates on material availability as an input for execution forecasting. Includes tracking industry back-orders that affect the department

  • Identify and process paperwork for alternate materials needed due to industry back-orders

  • Coordinate internally to gather information on material needs; includes keeping an up-to-date inventory tracker

  • Coordinate externally (Procurement, Planning, Warehouse) to track the whereabouts of requested materials and their estimated delivery dates

  • Coordinate with the Quality Control Analytical Associate Team to confirm cold pickups are completed and all material requested had arrived

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • May include equipment maintenance work - Preventive Maintenance, Opening Work Orders in SAP, and onboarding of new equipment per effective SOPs

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Chemical/Biological Engineering, or an appropriate area of specialization. Experience

  • 1 year of logistics/purchasing/materials planning or related specialty required

  • cGMP environment preferred

  • SAP Planning/Purchasing experience is highly preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills are required

  • Previous experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems and other Electronic Document Systems (eg. Trackwise, Documentum, etc) is recommended

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Ability to communicate/work in a high pressure/high paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task and function effectively as a member of a team
