PDS Tech Inc Analyst/Developer (Pega) III in Allen, Texas
PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Pega Analyst/Developer in Allen, TX.
Pega Developers are engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements
responding to outages and creating application system models.
Pega Developers primary functions are to design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for internal use, perform defect corrections (analysis, design, code). Will provide assistance with maintenance and production issues.
Collaborate with developers and consumers to identify and remediate problems within the Pega platform
Create, follow, and update technical documentation
Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Collaborate and communicate with team members to resolve problems or communicate a resolution
Provide BAU support for non-production and production application environments
Perform 1-2 code deployments a month as part of an On-Call rotation. Typically, after hours.
Collaborate with team and leadership to identify and resolve issues
Identify and implement application upgrades and architectural improvements.
This is a position where the candidate will hit the ground running. This is one of the most active teams in our IT group with daily non prod changes and weekly prod change.
The candidate will work directly with the team and the hiring manager. They should feel free to ask any questions they have at any time. They will need to be engaged and not just wait for something to be assigned to them. The team is active and excited for the opportunity to bring in some additional experience.
5+ Years development experience with a Pega 7.0, Pega 8.0 above
3+ Years development experience with a Java/J2EE
2+ Years working directly with relational databases with a strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling
2+ Years' experience with multi-threaded applications/components
2+ Years' experience with XML
Superior troubleshooting experience
Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in IT
4+ years’ experience in software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding with in Pega BPM tool
PEGA CSA Certification is required
Experience in the Telecom industry
Experience with any Telecom Order entry is preferred but not required
