PDS Tech Inc Warehouse Associate in Alvarado, Texas

Shifts Available

40 hours per week + overtime

1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Summary

This position will perform material handling duties to include accepting materials from receiving (including leather and components), stocking, pulling, issuing, and maintaining inventory of raw materials, packing and shipping of finished product.

Responsibilities

Material Management Duties

  • Pull, prepare and deliver materials from stock to assembly as required per the preparation sheet.

  • Replace defective and damaged materials as requested by assembly supervisors.

  • Process returns from production.

  • Take immediate action to correct discrepancies with material inventories.

  • Perform cycle counts as requested by the department supervisor or the finance department.

Shipping & Receiving Duties

  • Confirm that boxes of material received into the warehouse inventory are labeled with the item #, quantity, and date of receipt.

  • Stock materials in the proper storing location and confirm that all necessary transactions have been made in Ariane and JDE

  • Manage all materials in a way that will optimize space utilization and good organization.

  • Pack finished products and palletize it as requested by the distribution center

  • Process shipment of final product in the system and complete required documentation

General Duties

  • Ensure the process and method used are accurate and efficient throughout the day.

  • Maintain strong inter-department communication and update all parties concerned, including supervisor with any issues of concern.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and dictated by business needs

  • Participate in improvement projects within the company

Requirements

  • High School or GED

  • 1-3 years’ experience in inventory, warehouse, shipping, or receiving

  • Ability to move a minimum of 50lbs

  • Computer Literate, Microsoft Excel and ERP or WMS

  • Great communication skills: written and oral

  • Strong math skills preferred

  • Analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Team oriented

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish is a plus
