PDS Tech Inc General Repair Technician (737 and 757)(Secret Clearance) in Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland

PDS Tech is seeking a General Repair Technician (737 and 757) with Secret Clearance for an open position at Andrews AFB in Maryland.

The ideal candidate will be working on:

  • Servicing and Maintaining Support Equipment needed for 737 and 757.

  • Reading Manuals and performing servicing.

  • Ensuring inventory of the Equipment is accurate in our inventory system.

  • Coordinating with Supply to get items calibrated if needed.

Technical/Software skills needed to perform this role/job:

  • Maintenance,

  • Servicing,

  • Ground Support Equipment

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components. Troubleshooting problems to isolate faulty components.

  • Conducting complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.

  • Performing a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents. Documenting maintenance and inspection actions as required.

  • Training and resolving problems for less experienced technicians.

  • Working under general direction.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the support equipment necessary to conducting maintenance on our aircraft remains serviceable by coordinating repair, performing maintenance, and tracking expiration.

  • Frequent use of personal protective equipment for face/eyes and occasional use of hand/arm and ear protection may be required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain personnel certifications as required to support job responsibilities.

  • Occasional contact with Metals, exposure to plastics and solvents and exposure to Atmospheric Conditions.

This position requires occasional (1-3 Hrs) Finger manipulation, Flexion/Extension, Handling, Lifting up to 35 pounds by yourself, Rotation of head/neck, Sitting, Standing, and Walking.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.

  • Previous experience performing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aircraft support equipment to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Previous experience conducting troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural support equipment and systems.

  • Previous experience with the validation/verification of testing systems and components.

  • Previous experience documenting procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).

  • Previous experience inspecting components and verifying repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Previous experience performing tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft.

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
