PDS Tech Inc Drivability Calibration Engineer in Ann Arbor, Michigan

PDS Tech, Inc is seeking a Drivability Calibration Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI.

Skills/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calibration of engine control (EFI) for North America and global markets

  • Complete engine calibration in accordance with procedures to meet regulations and other performance targets (power/performance, shock/response, S&S, startability, hesitation, etc)

  • Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet development deadlines

  • Test preparation, data collection, data analysis, and technical report creation on a regular basis

  • Build successful relationship with calibration technician group

  • Conduct vehicle testing and development under extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, high altitude)

  • Complete required internal training necessary for job execution (Technical, Driving, etc.)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Experience in drivability calibration related to engine control (power/performance, shock/response, S&S, startability, hesitation, etc)

  • Proficiency in engine control logic interrogation and debugging

  • Experience investigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutions

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Excellent driving record

Nice to have:

  • Advanced engineering degree

  • Thorough understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice

  • Experience with AVL Drive

  • Experience with Model-Based Design and calibration processes

  • Experience with combustion data analysis and data collection systems

  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python, VBA, etc.

  • Proficiency in MS Project

  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ programming languages

  • Experience working well in a culturally diverse environment
