PDS Tech Inc Software Engineer in Ann Arbor, Michigan

PDS Tech Inc. is seeking a CW Software Engineer, in Ann Arbor, MI.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support ADS and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) evaluations through developing and maintaining automated data analysis and visualization tools.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of IVS Group 2, the person in this role will support the IVS department's objective to efficiently collect, analyze, and visualize data to help design and evaluation engineers make informed and meaningful decisions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working alongside IVS evaluation and design engineers in creating proprietary tools and performing analysis on vehicle sensor data to support creating data-driven storylines on US autonomous system performance.

  • Using and improving cloud-based analysis tools to assess performance deficiencies of sensors and systems in an open-loop playback environment.

  • Supporting IVS evaluation and design engineers to analyze and visualize recorded and simulated vehicle data.

  • Maintaining recorded evaluation and simulation data in a cloud environment.

  • Providing feedback to the evaluation and design engineering team to help further automate evaluation and analysis processes.


  • Experience building, implementing, and supporting medium to large scale solutions in Python and web/mobile applications.

  • Experience in organizing and/or querying vehicle sensor data.

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time.

  • B.S. in Computer Science, related fields or commensurate work experience.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team with limited supervision.

What you may bring:

  • Python Certification (foundational, associate, professional, or specialty).

  • Web or mobile development experience.

  • Experience in data science, statistical modeling, data mining

  • Experience in cloud computing infrastructure.

  • A valid US drivers’ license.

  • Experience in machine vision, radar, and lidar data.

  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
