PDS Tech Inc Industrial Painter- 3rd Shift in Appleton, Wisconsin
Properly prepares parts using detergent cleaners and phosphate-etching cleaners. Understands and uses primers and their applications. Understands and applies different paints such as synthetic enamels, acrylics, urethanes and epoxies. Understands the theory and application of dykeming. Understands and correctly applies various filler compounds. Responsible for equipment such as spray guns, breathing apparatus and related equipment. Performs recycling of coolant, oil and paint thinners. Responsible for efficient flow of parts through finishing department into the cage. Ensures quality standards are at or above industry standards in all finishing areas. Keeps current on latest technology as it pertains to finishing operations. Responsible to meet ISO quality standards, which require individuals to take responsibility for their own quality, verify their work is correct and then affix their signature to the appropriate documentation (i.e., drawing, checklist, etc.).
Completion of a Vocational Diploma in auto body training, equivalent training, and/or two years experience in painting. Must have knowledge of coating systems, equipment and materials. Must be able to read blue prints and work independently. Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet production/shipping plans. This is a 3rd shift position. Must have own HVLP Spray Gun and Dual Action Sander. Hours 10:50pm to 6:05am Sunday-Friday
