PDS Tech Inc Manufacturing Engineer in Appleton, Wisconsin

PDS Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide support to our Client’s production operations.

In this role, you will:

improve productivity

reduce costs

improve production flows

reduce cycle time

improve quality

maintain a safe work environment

supervise repairs in building and equipment

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes and prepare sequenced, elemental routing.

  • Provide process sheets which specify basic tools, machine tools, and other major processing equipment, fixtures, jigs, gauges, feeds and speeds, and welding processes.

  • Function as the project manager in the selection, purchase, installation, checkout and activation of new capital equipment.

  • Determine manufacturing feasibility of manufactured and purchased parts.

  • Develop standard data utilizing work measurement techniques such as time study, predetermined motion time systems, and work sampling to establish production standards for determining standard costs, measurements for productive efficiency and establishment of performance goals for labor. Provide manufacturing and assembly input to designers for new product development.

  • Provide engineering bills for raw materials.

  • Continuously review flow of materials (to include methods and systems, equipment and facilities) recognizing balanced flow as the objective to achieve on-time delivery.

  • Visibly support "lean" and other process improvement activities.

  • Participate in rapid improvement events.

  • Apply continuous improvement practices to one's job.

  • Support transition activities, as required and maintains an open mind throughout the change process. Work with others to continuously fuel improvement throughout the Company.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Processes or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience or training.

  • Minimum three years related experience.

  • EH rated safety shoes required.

  • Safety glasses are provided if non-prescription.
