PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer in Appleton, WI.

Pay: $34.53 per hour

Contract Duration: 10 Months

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm

Due to client regulations, all candidates for this role must have a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status

This position is responsible for the mechanical engineering effort requiring close, continuous interaction with electrical engineering. This is an exempt position that may require more than a 40-hour week to carry out the listed job duties effectively. Occasional travel required (10%).

Job Duties:

· Responsible for engineering standards that are within the established norms of the CNG, Biogas, RNG, Vapor Recovery, and Gas Compressor packaging industry and in compliance with the current national and international standards for the care and construction of related machinery and equipment.

· Responsible for the mechanical design of machinery and mechanical systems used on machines, including engineering design calculations.

· Implements product improvement programs.

· Keeps abreast of current technical progress in all related fields of activity.

· Sees that adequate records of formulas, drawings, process methods, bills of materials, and product construction standards are maintained.

· Ensures that adequate records to support patent actions are maintained and, in particular, maintains a daily log for this purpose.

· Directs preparation of progress reports and ensures that all appropriate personnel are kept abreast of mechanical engineering and development activities.

· Prepares and presents papers and reports of a technical nature as required.

· Provide engineering support on company products to other departments as required.

· Seeks, evaluates, and conducts negotiations with vendors concerning new mechanical engineering systems or proposed machinery components sufficient to carry out desired designs.

· Seeks, evaluates, and conducts negotiations with vendors for new mechanical engineering systems or proposed machinery components sufficient to carry out desired designs.

· Supports Technical Services, including travel to customers' facilities as required.

· Has a good working knowledge of the use of Solid Works 3D Modeling and AutoCAD.

Required Qualifications

· A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· A minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience in the engineer-to-order machinery industry, (i.e. compression, HVAC, piping, pumps, packaging machinery manufacturing) is a plus.

· Must also have a background in machinery design including a basic knowledge of electrical components and control systems.

· Requires experience with SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD.

Pay Details: $34.53 per hour
