PDS Tech Inc Workshop Technician - Automotive in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Re-move and re-place current production parts with newly designed parts.
Quality is of the most importance, technician will perform, and pre and post quality check on the entire vehicle and each component.
Post installation requires all bolts and nuts to be torque to spec and marked.
Post Assembly quality checks are performed as required.
To confirm the parts lists, (BOM) and parts are present before starting.
To confirm parts retrofitted are the correct level.
Verify installed parts are to correct torques and all other build specifications.
Technician has to perform final vehicle inspections after having completed the tasks.
10+ years’ experience in vehicle mechanics related to vehicle level performance and testing
Minimal tools, small tool box with general tools is a plus.
Experience with instruments that are specific for a removal or an install.
Safety training already completed is desirable
Prototype build retrofit capabilities.
Experience in tearing down a vehicle and then re-build with new updated parts.
Craftsmanship and integrity.
Trouble shooting capabilities.
Familiarity in confirming the quality level of the vehicle prior to starting retrofit.
Conducting reviews of the build sequences and reporting any concerns or improvements
Vehicle and component knowledge
Understand install and process sheets
Effective communication with other team members
