PDS Tech Inc Validation Specialist in Austin, Texas

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking Validation Specialist

The Product Validation Specialists primary responsibility is product validation testing as an integral part of both New Product Development and New Product Introduction. In this role, you will perform hands-on laboratory experiments on-site at our Austin facility, and provide technical support for customer collaborators in the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of validation programs for new and existing products

  • Execute validation programs to ensure your products meet customer expectations for quality and performance

  • Test and validate product specifications, both hardware and software

  • Provide technical assistance to collaborators in the field who are helping to validate our products for specific applications

  • Perform technical product comparisons

  • Represent the Voice of the Customer within the new product development process

  • Provide timely feedback to stakeholders on product performance

  • Assist in the training of application chemists and specialists globally

  • Work with the product and marketing manager on all marketing programs, generating and preparing supporting materials for new product introductions, sales presentations, applications/technical notes, research articles, and other marketing collateral

  • Develop expert technical knowledge and keep abreast of developments in the Life Science Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography market arena

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences or equivalent with hands on experience with either gas chromatography or mass spectrometry is required

  • An advanced degree, or in the process of obtaining an advanced degree: MS or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry, is preferred

  • Experience in environmental, food safety or metabolomics fields is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

  • Must be customer-focused with the ability to collaborate with end users

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and feel at ease communicating regularly with technical and business teams across multiple sites

  • Must have exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Must be able to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to use MS Office Suite to create notes and presentations
