PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Technician in Beltsville, MD.
The Assembly Technician position will provide mechanical technician support for the manufacturing of integrated products in our composite structures assembly area.
This involves the assembly of hardware to consolidated, honeycomb panels and structures.
Structures Honeycomb Panel) Lay-up Technician.
Previous fabrication (consolidated honeycomb panel and structure assembly) experience or Aerospace mechanical assembly desired.
The Lay-up Technician position will provide mechanical technician support for the manufacturing of integrated products in our panel consolidation assembly area.
This involves the assembly of honeycomb core and face sheets to create a consolidated, blank panel.
Our Beltsville location is currently seeking Technicians with background and experience in integrated composite/thermal structures to join our team on 1st Shift (6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

HS diploma or equivalent (education will be verified)
Minimum 2 years previous fabrication / honeycomb panel and structure assembly or aerospace mechanical assembly experience.
Experience in an aerospace and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude to include the ability to read and interpret drawings.
Familiarity with hand tools and good math/geometry skills.
Candidate must be able to read, write and follow written manufacturing instructions and technical procedures in English.
Must work closely with lead technicians and supervisor to meet build requirements and schedules.
Must have experience / be able to operate equipment such as hand tools and power tools (rivet shavers, rivet tools, torque wrenches, drills) and precision measuring tools (micrometers, scales) for processing metals and wood.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Demonstrates high level of concern for safety of self and others.
Willing to work flexible schedules as needed to meet delivery dates.
Previous fabrication (consolidated honeycomb panel and structures or mechanical assembly) experience in aerospace manufacturing environment
Experience preparing/mixing epoxy and silicone adhesives for mechanical and thermal component installation in honeycomb panels.
Experience handling hazardous materials utilizing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with OSHA and industry standards
Experience handling film adhesives and preparing/mixing epoxy and silicone adhesives for mechanical and thermal component installation in honeycomb panels.
Computer skills including MS Word and Excel are a plus.
