Job Title: High Voltage Powertrain Engineer (Hybrid Systems)
What You’ll Do:
As part of our Trackside Support Group , you’ll travel to race and test events, providing critical engineering support for the LMDh car in the IMSA series . Your mission is to monitor, analyze, and optimize hybrid controls and high-voltage systems, ensuring peak performance and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting race and test events alongside HRC and partner racing teams.
Monitoring hybrid system performance, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.
Serving as the OEM HV Safety Officer, defining HV safety protocols, and ensuring safe operations.
Performing ESS system commissioning, decommissioning, and vehicle safety assessments.
Conducting telemetry data analysis of hybrid systems, including battery, motor, inverter, and DC-DC systems.
Developing tools, macros, and scripts for system performance analysis and durability testing.
Liaising with race teams, sanctioning bodies, and performance groups on energy management and regulatory compliance.
Providing daily reports on system performance, reliability, calibration updates, and more.
What You’ll Bring:
Education: BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with a focus on hybrid systems.
Experience:
3–5 years working with hybrid systems, ideally in motorsports.
Hands-on experience with hybrid/BEV systems, powertrain calibration, and controls.
Proficiency in telemetry data analysis and technical reporting.
Knowledge of ERS operational states and HV safety protocols.
Skills:
Advanced data analysis and tool creation.
Ability to read schematics and work with electrical components.
Hands-on problem-solving with energy systems and power electronics.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience in F1, FE, LMP1, or similar environments is highly desirable.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per hour
