PDS Tech is hiring a Computer Vision Electrical Engineer to help develop and sustain an emerging line of Smart Perception Sensors and Devices that will enhance safety & security in and around Aircraft, and enable aircrew workload reduction & operations efficiencies.

Job Title: Computer Vision Electrical Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time; Consultant-to-Permanent

Job Location: Burnsville, MN 55306 (HYBRID)

• Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will regularly work both onsite and offsite.

• The ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

As a Principal Engineer, working in the Vision Connectivity Systems (VCS) team, your role will be to develop the processing electronics for our next generation of video monitoring and video processing systems, which will host Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design of new generation system architectures and edge-computing devices for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

• Experience developing high-speed digital design circuits

• Schematic entry EDA toolset Cadence Allegro / Mentor Graphics / Siemens or equivalent

• Circuit simulation: LTspice / Hyperlynx or equivalent

• Involvement in the entire development process:

• Advanced Product Quality Planning

• Prototyping

• Detailed Design: including schematic entry and simulation

• Testing: including verification, validation, and qualification

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

Other Technical Positions:

• Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microprocessors or GPUs: NVIDIA, AMD, Xilinx, Intel, NXP, TI, ARM Camera Systems Digital Video Monitoring Systems Digital Video processing / Digital Audio processing Aerospace / Defense RTCA DO-254 / RTCA DO-160 Gigabit Ethernet or POE Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) / Computer Vision (CV) Gigabit Ethernet / Power Over Ethernet (POE)
