A- Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs various production assembly operations on components and sub-assemblies.

Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units.

Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.

Install sub-assemblies.

Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.

All work is performed in explosive handling areas.

Perform other related duties as assigned

B- Primary Skill Requirements:

Experienced in using a variety of hand tools, measuring devices, microscope

Basic soldering and welding skills.

Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions.

Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.

Basic hand tool knowledge (tweezers, pliers)

Basic measuring tool knowledge (calipers, micrometers)

Basic math skills.

Light assembly training.

Safety awareness training.

Safe powder handling training.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties as outlined in Section A & B above.

Work under direct supervision.

Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.

Set up and use analytical balance.

Perform inert assembly operations.

Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.

Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.

Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.

May have some basic soldering experience.

  • Three to five years minimum experience as a mechanical assembler.

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Process to be initiated immediately after transfer.

  • Cross-trained in multiple operations.

  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturing procedures.

  • Experienced in using a variety of handtools, measuring devices, microscope.

  • General knowledge of calibration systems.

  • Must have basic soldering and welding skills.

  • Strong interaction skills also required.

  • Education Required : High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience Required : 1 year industry assembly work.

  • Skill Requirements : Powder handling & weighing certification; Alcatel Leak Test Certification
