- Assists with activities to identify and document product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes. Assists with plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control. Supports the monitoring of adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; assists with audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements. Supports certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes. Works general supervision.

Data Management is currently looking for two Product Data Management Specialists to join their team in Charleston, SC. This position will focus on analysis of design maturity as it progresses through the product lifecycle for the C-17 program. Position will focus on data mining and accuracy of project status using the IPDM tool for tracking changes on the C-17 weapon system.
A successful candidate will be well organized, self-motivating, and have a thirst for learning new processes and approaches to understand the engineering release process and the relationship to engineering changes for the C-17.
Develops, documents and implements plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
Tracks and reports data to monitor engineering release status, data configuration and contractual requirements.
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., ""used on"" drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience, skill, and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data.
1+ year of experience in a Data Management role creating, processing, and delivering data.
1+ years of experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
1+ years of experience demonstrating the ability to utilize technological tools (e.g., PC's, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads and delivery schedules.
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience working in IPDM or an equivalent engineering drawing release tool containing workflow approvals.
1+ years’ experience with engineering drawing structure and composition
Typical Education & Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
