PDS Tech Inc Project Coordinator (Production / Manufacturing) in Charlotte, North Carolina

PDS Tech is seeking a Project Coordinator (Production/Manufacturing) for an open position in Charlotte NC

The ideal candidate will report to the Senior Manager. The position will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and communicating the completion of tasks by cross-functional teams to support the attainment of Engineer-To-Order (ETO) project timelines for purchased materials. This includes managing plans, resources, and communication, as well as creating project reports and mitigating risks.

The position shall also develop and maintain excellent internal and external relationships and continuously develop and execute ETO process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Constantly calling and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to clarify, coordinate and secure task performance to support the ETO timeline

  • Managing task lists for ETO stakeholders

  • Monitoring daily project progress, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans

  • Creating and distributing progress reports

  • Securing quotes and requisitions and coordinating part deliveries for ETO units

  • Organizing reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial files for easy access

  • Planning meetings and organizing project tasks

  • Developing goals and project plans

  • Developing cost forecasts and managing budgets

  • Estimating resource requirements and ensuring resource engagement

  • Developing standard work and regular enhancement to standard work

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work closely with team members and managers, and effectively manage problems as they occur.

  • Leadership: Primary point of contact for purchased items, provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement for achieving goals.

  • Organization and time management: Managing the daily activities and needs of purchasing members. Excellent ability to multitask and effectively manage time.

  • Data entry and analysis: Quantitative spreadsheet analysis of material cost, financial data and timing charts.

  • Problem-solving: Work through and autonomously resolve minor issues and effectively manage timely escalation for major issues.

  • Positive attitude: Highly energy with a positive outlook and the ability to manage stress from unexpected challenges. Inspire team member positivity and motivation.

  • Five years’ working experience with two years’ experience in project coordination

  • Experience in manufacturing and supply chain preferred

  • Required Computer Competency: A strong working competency and ability to expand capabilities continuously and independently with the following computer software applications is required:

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access

  • PLM, preferably Windchill

  • ERP, preferably CHESS (Material requirement planning system)

  • SAP experience is a benefit

  • Power BI or similar data analytics
