The Operations department in Chelmsford, MA is seeking an Electronic Assembler with experiences in the area of manufacturing and electronic assembling to support our manufacturing operations in the execution of production flows as well as reporting and documentation of production results.
Strong time management and organization skills along with interpersonal skills and ability to participate effectively in multidisciplinary teams to solve problems in manufacturing environment are essential.
Position is accountable for setup, assembly, testing, packing of several products and accessories using documentation and bills of materials.
Position receives day to day direction from a Group Leader and reports to the Operations Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble and conduct functional testing on a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies following works instructions.
Be accountable to own and improve daily metrics such as OEE and yield rates.
Package various materials for shipment.
Print labels or bill of materials out of SAP in preparation of packaging jobs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment in line with 5S methodology.
Wear appropriate PPE; including but not limited to safety shoes and safety glasses.
Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and all appropriate regulations (ISO) Assist in other manufacturing areas when needed (less than 10% of job).
Other related duties as assigned.
Be familiar with executing manufacturing Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and/or protocols.
Use of highly specialized equipment and instrumentation in daily manufacturing.
Calibrate instruments as needed and complete necessary documentation.
Working efficiently and in multiple teams to accomplish manufacturing goals.
Adhere to corporate EH&S standards, work rules, and other company policies and initiatives
Responsible for the completion of all tasks assigned daily (working overtime may be required).
Minimum Qualifications (must have):
Associates Degree and 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelors degree
Achieve high productivity with reliable and punctual attendance.
Ability to address and report to supervisor any problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure on-time delivery.
Periodically review and discuss your priorities with supervisor.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.
