PDS Tech Inc Shipping/Receiving Specialist in Clearwater, Florida
PDS Tech Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, in Clearwater, FL.
Confirms and records the receipt of shipments, prepares items for shipping, and loads and unloads trucks.
Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
Completes shipping and receiving reports.
Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Special Considerations: Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions.
Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated.
Operation of a Powered industrial truck is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.
Receive and identify incoming materials.
Verify packing slips on received material for proper information.
Organize stockroom for order and flow.
Create and maintain a stockroom 5S program.
Demonstrate good attention to detail.
Make the stockroom a showplace demonstrating pride of ownership.
Record keeping, follow instructions for packaging of material/units.
Maintain part location in SAP database.
Need to be able to operate a forklift.
Process JLL / Facilities Work orders - (SAP) / JLL systems (Process control / ISC Production related order ).
Access part information using Microsoft Excel.
Perform all functions pertaining to shipping deliverables (Labeling and packaging).
Ensure all material movements & or transactions are done correctly in SAP/eFactory.
Properly handle & store material in accordance with the ISO Procedures.
Continue to improve 5S in the workplace.
Escalate issues to the next level for management involvement.
Receive parts and material on the receiving dock from multiple carriers, log items into the tracking system, review supplier shipping documentation and determine whether the items are purchase order items or requisition items.
Cross Train in all functions to provide coverage for shipping area when required.
Overall work environment:

Work well under pressure and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
Share "On-Call" duties with the local team occasionally working nights and weekends.
Demonstrate leadership relating to safety concerns.
High school diploma/GED required.
Minimum of 2 years in one or more of the following: manufacturing, logistics and shipping.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted, participate in a two-person lift for cartons over 35 pounds and to walk or stand for long periods of time.
Previous direct customer relationship role with demonstrated ability to create high level of customer satisfaction.
Experience in cross functional teams.
Strong organizational skill set.
Microsoft Office fluency.
Experience handling ESD material.
