PDS Tech Inc Payroll Clerk in Collierville, Tennessee

PDS Tech is seeking a Payroll Clerk for an open position in Collierville TN. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

The ideal candidate will:

  • Perform individual and team related duties including the preparation, audit and data entry of payroll related transactions and pay adjustments

  • Perform pay run balancing functions

  • Provide customer service functions to address pay related inquiries and issues

  • Perform specialized pay related functions as assigned.

This position will perform duties within payroll and accounting function. They will:

  • Assist with daily review of employee time and attendance for accuracy.

  • Research/resolve payroll issues/errors as necessary.

  • Collect, file and safeguard all payroll related documentation including faxing of direct deposit, W-4, court orders, and garnishments to Shared Services for processing.

  • Provide support to hourly employee and supervisor regarding payroll related questions.

  • Distribute weekly hourly payroll checks to 1st & 2nd shift supervisors.

  • Assist with accounting month-end close including preparation of journal entries, data analysis and reconciliation.

  • Assist with accounts payable related to processing of various invoices/credit memos.

  • Assist in all areas of Payroll and Accounting as needed.

  • Have the ability to be adaptable and work in fast-paced environment.

  • Be customer driven.

Post-secondary degree in accounting or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience with at least 2-5 years in payroll/accounting in a manufacturing or distribution facility that will allow successful performance of job expectation.

Experience with payroll Timekeeping system (ie, Kronos).

Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.

Proficient in MS application – Access, Word, Outlook.

Ability to work independently and in team environment with strong attention to detail.
