PDS Tech, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operation in Colorado Springs, CO
Job Description:
Supports production machinery, sets equipment/machinery to required settings, monitors operation of machinery or equipment, and determines whether materials or products meet standards.
This is an entry-level position that works with computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials.
Essential Responsibilities:
Notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
Ensures quality product utilizing company quality procedures
Receives detailed instructions on all work
Load and cycle start programs in CNC Machining centers
Maintain proper condition of measuring instruments
Maintain proper cutting conditions on machining centers
Complete Certified Operator training for the Machine Shop
Meet or exceed required output hours
Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks
Show an improving understanding of machine shop practices
Begin to cross-train on different types of machining centers
Maintain a clean and hazard free work cell
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Willing to perform tasks necessary to ensure the on-time delivery to the customer
Be a positive impact to the team
Complete basic CI training
Participate in all team stand-ups and uses safe ergonomic practices in performing job
Participate in EHS risk reduction activities and eliminate safety hazards
Adhere to all company rules and codes of conduct
May perform other job duties as required and available for overtime as necessary
Skills Required:
Develops basic job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
Basic Mechanical Knowledge
Basic Shop Math Skills
Basic PC skills for data entry, time card and production time entries
Ability to read blueprints with some supervision
Able to set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines to machine surfaces of metallic and non-metallic work pieces according to specifications and tooling instructions
Ability to be coached by higher level CNC Machinists
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hrs per day
