PDS Tech Inc Software Engineer 4 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO.


  • Maintaining (and developing when required) code, upgrading and integrating software components into a fully functional software system

  • Developing new and various application issues

  • Development of software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

  • Perform software project management and supporting software supplier management functions

  • Collaborating effectively within small team environment, as well as working tasks independently with minimal direction


  • Hybrid position (3-5 days a week in person) Local candidates submitted only

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)

  • 2+ years’ experience in programming in C++, Java and Python

  • 2+ years’ experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test

  • 2+ years’ experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

  • 2+ years’ experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools

  • Skills in Software Development Management including source code control, peer reviews, defect management

  • CompTIA Security + Certification

Education / Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
