PDS Tech Inc. is seeking an Assembler, in Columbus, OH.

Summary:

  • The Assembler Associate II will perform production duties to ensure that company products are manufactured within established quality standards and cost standards in accordance with customer orders.

  • May be responsible for training new hires on specific tasks or processes.

  • Responsible for performing 5S activities to maintain the work area at standard and to constantly seek out additional opportunities to improve existing processes, including safety-related recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform fabrication work of the element in a cell based manufacturing environment.

  • Perform detailed tasks under a microscope to meet critical specifications.

  • Perform chemical mixing and ensuring that the mixing ratios are meeting defined requirements.

  • Meet or exceed production targets and ensure products are manufactured at the right quality and production rates.

  • Periodically carry out visual and functional test of incoming raw materials according to defined intervals.

  • Minimize all types of waste and maintain high yield rates at respective process steps.

  • Maintain 5S throughout the assigned work area.

  • Complete the assigned tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with all safety requirements.

  • Serve as point of escalation for less experienced team members.

  • May be responsible for training new hires on specific assembly processes.

  • Other duties as required.

  • Operator must wear safety glasses and steel toe shoes at all times on the production floor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year Electronics Assembly Experience.

  • Minimum 1 year Soldering Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to multitask.

  • Fast and flexible in adapting to changes.

  • Sharp and focused in making critical product and technical quality judgments.

  • Manipulate small wires/objects under a microscope using precision hand tools.

  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as requested.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Experience in interpreting detailed assembly drawings and completing complex assembly processes.

  • Read, communicate, and write fluently in English.

  • Stand and sit for long periods of time.

  • Use small hand tools and work with small parts.
