PDS Tech Inc Buyer/Procurement Analyst in Cupertino, California
PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Buyer/Procurement Analyst, in Cupertino, CA.
Summary:
The Business Operations team is positioned at the interface between client’s product teams and the contract manufacturers that
transform client’s designs into industry leading products.
They are responsible for the business relationship between client and our contract manufacturers.
As a partner to Engineering and Operations, we develop and execute finished good sourcing strategies that enable new technology advancement and innovative manufacturing processes, while also optimizing cost.
The Business Operations Analyst position requires an interest in market dynamics, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation.
A successful candidate must have strong analytical capabilities, must be a high-energy tactical execution expert and a strong team player.
This position requires a combination of basic acumen with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate will be a creative problem solver who is passionate about building and maintaining tools that improve the cost validation
and tracking processes
Key Responsibilities:
Develop an in-depth understanding of value-add manufacturing processes and costs, and the contract manufacturing landscape
Support business operations negotiations with cost scenario analysis, reporting, claims management, and benchmarking
Manage and track final claims vs. initial budgets and assess key factors driving the change
Manage rework & overtime budgets, reserves, PR processing and GR management
Facilitate communications with suppliers, and internally, across functions and up to executive teams
CapEx Amortization Deal Structuring & PO adder tracking: Track, validate, and update changes from original negotiation (equipment adds by Ops, volume updates, track end of life, etc)
Automation ROI tracking and modeling
Setting up a mechanism for NRE Engineering Expenditure tracking and validation
Partner with Global Supply Manager/Biz Ops Manager to drive improvements in supplier performance on key metrics
Ensure a ongoing system/process is set up with an eye towards when the contractor resource is no longer onboard
Experience:
Experience in a service, planning, asset management, manufacturing, consulting, banking
Prior experience in procurement and/or advanced skills in procurement software (JIRA, Tableau, Excel, SAP, etc) Analytical &
detail-oriented
Able to distill complex information into clear concise messaging
Excellent English communication skills required -- both verbal & written.
Experience with executive level reporting

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
