PDS Tech Inc Demand Planner in Cupertino, California

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Demand Planner, in Cupertino, CA.

Summary:

  • Ensures order fulfillment is in accordance with client’s standards and promptly addresses issues as they come up.

  • Establishes inventory management metrics and KPIs, driving the requirements with vendors

  • Partner closely with Demand Planning & Corporate Procurement to evaluate pricing, lead time and on time delivery.

  • Create and manage sustaining processes for SKU life cycle.

  • Manage online catalog including program and product associations.

  • Understand Apple’s reseller channel programs and work closely with Business Partners to develop support structures and manage ongoing and future programs.

  • Drive operational excellence and consistency across all regions through the implementation of standard business planning processes and tools.

  • Coordinate closely with WW Preservation, Supplier Management teams, and Sales to develop supply plans for program expansion and support while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

  • Partner with global procurement teams to allocate constrained components, ensure aggressive raw material inventory targets are met, and ensure minimal material obsolescence during product transition.

  • Lead cross functional projects to create and refine processes and tools.

Key Qualification:

  • 3+ years Operation experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry. Prior experience in project management, product planning, production control, inventory

  • management, or production/manufacturing operation is strongly preferred.

  • Combine a working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy.

  • Must be able to exert tactful influence in a matrixed organization - must be a strong team player and communicator.

  • Comfortable presenter to executive management.

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, a persistent attention to detail, ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity and a high level of comfort in working with large quantities of data.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Keynote. Storytelling a plus.

  • Transportation and Logistic experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of global import, export and custom practices preferred.

Competencies and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operation, or a related field

  • 3+ years in fulfillment, planning, or operations

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Very high attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Project Management and/or Supply Chain certification are a plus
