Job Summary
We are the iPhone Product Design Project Management team, made up of Engineering Project Managers (EPM) and Engineering Project Specialists (EPS).
Our goal is to deliver extraordinary new iPhone products and customer experiences.
The EPM and EPS partnership enables our Product Design team to remain on track through organization and tracking of information as well as creative problem solving.
As an EPS, your primary focus will be on creating Bills of Materials, ordering and tracking materials for development builds, managing POs and invoices, processing ECOs in support of build activities.
You must be able to prioritize issues and track the details, be a fearless organizer, ready to work with the Product Design and EPM teams to manage the risks associated with early manufacturing builds.

Description:
Create and structure complex BOMs for development builds and production release
Create part numbers and archive related technical documentation
Create, manage and process Engineering Change Orders, Manufacturer Change Orders
Create Purchase Requisitions, manage POs, invoice tracking and Goods Receipts
Create/Manage/Maintain Material Orders with vendors for development builds
Manage supply chain for long lead items
Maintain schedules for the delivery of vendor components
Partner with Contract Manufacturer teams to track Material Readiness and resolve material delay issues to support build readiness
Communicate material readiness to cross-functional and management teams
Manage/Maintain logistics of units/parts for local development builds
Work on multiple spreadsheets simultaneously
Off-hour support required via email and phone
Overseas travel required to support builds and CM build readiness
Key Qualifications:
Must have good BOM structuring experience, preferably for hardware products
Understand configuration management and have an understanding of complex BOMs
Experience with PLM tools (Agile experience is preferred but not required)
Proficient in MS Excel
Combination of organizational and detail-oriented skills when working on multiple projects
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to react to resets and changes in a time-sensitive environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large cross-functional team
Experience managing, organizing and maintaining large quantities of data, critical thinking with detailed accuracy
Experience monitoring material requirements to support builds
Ability to influence, effectively communicate and drive deadlines with vendors (either CM or part vendors)
Experience working with overseas vendors
Education
- BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience
