PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer, in Cupertino, CA.
Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
Revises and refines systems as required.
Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of business systems.
Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications.
Strong communication skills are required as position will interact with business owners.
EASG (Engineering analysis and software group) supports all software development within Battery Org.
The NX Design Tools Engineer (Contract) will on a project to develop an end-to-end tool that will analyze (statistics) design data (measurements) as well as create graphical displays for visual representation of data (within NX).
The statistical analysis will require knowledge of JMP as well as JMP scripting (JSL).
The main application will run in Mac OS environment and will integrate the NX output (graphical) with JMP outputs.
Review and refine requirements.
Brainstorms solutions with cross-functional teams.
Develop software solution and overall architecture.
Works with other team members on multiple software development and NX automation's projects.
Generates test cases and documentation.
Participates in Agile project management lifecycle, including sprint planning and execution, scrums and validation testing.
Develop custom NX Open application that allows users to interact with a GUI (UI/Block styler) and generate the necessary point data, sketches and drawing PDFs.
Develop/Extend JMP application(s) for data analysis, to create visual reports (distributions, sigma, P value, etc)
- 5 - 10 years of experience.
5+ years experience with the following:
Expert knowledge NX automation using Open API, NXOpen, UI Styler, Journaling.
NX(12) CAD and Drafting, GD&T.
Mac OS development - Objective C / Swift.
Statistical tools - JMP (13+).
Software development concepts and Object Oriented programming software integration.
Agile software development, project lifecycle activities including estimation, testing and validation.
Visual Studio 2010, 2012 (desirable).
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with management, team members and vendors.
Teamwork: the candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
