PDS Tech Inc Electronic Technician- Precision Machine Tool Maintenance in Everett, Washington

Our client is expanding manufacturing production at multiple facilities in Washington State. PDS Tech is seeking Electronic Maintenance Technicians at ALL LEVELS to set up, troubleshoot, maintain and repair the precision machine tooling from CNC machines to robotic systems. Compensation will be commensurate with knowledge and experience level. These are direct hire, full time positions. A generous and comprehensive relocation package will be available.

  • Repair critical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as electronic hardware upgrades.

  • Repair and or replace defective equipment, overhaul, rebuild and assemble a wide variety of plant equipment, including numerically controlled machines, robotics & end effectors, modular assembly equipment, precision-built machines, material handling equipment, and stationary generator sets and process equipment.

  • Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify machine tools and process equipment. Use technical knowledge, existing procedures (or develop new procedures), and internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment and/or system malfunctions. Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements. Use various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems or to determine accuracy of equipment. Work with Management, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on facility and equipment design requirements, capability and improvements.

Knowledge of digital circuits, analog circuits, computers, microprocessors, network, systems and high frequency circuitry is required.

Knowledge of electrical systems including the National Electrical Code, basic relay logic and high voltage systems is required.

Ability to Install, service, maintain, upgrade and modify machine tools and process equipment.

Related industrial or military experience with specialized skill sets such as:

  • CNC Machine Tool troubleshooting and repair

  • Servo drive setup, troubleshooting and tuning

  • VFD setup, troubleshooting and tuning

  • PID loop setup, troubleshooting and tuning

  • Feedback technology and related components

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • PLC system troubleshooting using Boolean to decipher ladder logic

  • Digital and analog electronic theory and component level troubleshooting

  • Numbering systems: binary, octal, hexadecimal

  • Test equipment – digital voltmeter, current meter, oscilloscope

Two year Associates Degree or training certificate in industrial electronic/electrical maintenance or military equivalent
