PDS Tech Inc Field Service Support in Grand Rapids, Michigan

DS Tech, Inc. is seeking Field Service Support to work at the Grand Rapids, MI Honeywell Location .

Job Descriptions:

  • Performs installation of demand response switches on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

  • Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.

  • Works under immediate supervision.

  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Field Service Tech assignments include:

• Use of HON company vehicle

o If one is not available they will need to use their personal vehicle, but will get reimbursed for mileage

• If the worker travels overnight

o Worker will get reimbursed for meals (please save receipts)

 Up to $10 for Breakfast

 Up to $15 for Lunch

 Up to $25 for Dinner

• Cell Phone:

o HON may provide a cell phone for use during assignment

o If they are unable to provide a company cell phone, the worker will be allowed to expense up to $50 per mos for use of their personal cell phone (cell phone bill required to get reimbursement)

• The above and other expenses can be reimbursed only if supervisor approval is obtained prior to incurring the expense.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.

  • Requires 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Special Considerations:

  • Lifting is generally in the 10 to 15 Lbs. range with minimal repetitions.

  • Exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is minimal.
