PDS Tech Inc Structures Test Engineer in Greensboro, North Carolina

General Summary:

The Engineer will perform design activities for test fixture(s) per customer criteria on a wide range of test projects, which will include small component test and large full scale assemblies. The engineer will perform design and engineering activities to complete design(s) efficiently per design specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review Test Plans/Requirements and Coordinate with Stress Engineering, Test Tooling, Purchasing, and Quality to prepare and ensure implementation of requirements for testing activities on various static and fatigue tests.

  • Operate, maintain, and support use of digital and analog data acquisition systems and participates in full scale aircraft test design concepts.

  • Inspects 3D models, creates documents for test setup, and assists with witnessing and conducting tests.

  • Supervises conformity of tests which includes creation and implementation of conformity documentation for testing – RFC’s, work orders, test deviations, and resolution of squawks.

  • Will troubleshoot and resolve test setup issues, report out on status for assigned tests, perform analysis for adequately size test hardware, and write technical test reports.

  • Create and implement creative solutions for conducting testing including fixture design and fabrication.

  • Serve as team lead of a group of technicians and peers for accomplishing tasks.


Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field required

  • Proven work experience in engineering test

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • CATIA V5, Microsoft Office, and excellent written and communication skills
