Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Direct Hire

Hours: 8:00 to 5:00 (M-F)

Status: W-2

Location: Saint Louis, MO (Hazelwood)

Salary Range: $70K - $110K

  • Provide technical support and problem-solving skills for Printed Circuit Assembly production department to meet quality and quantity objectives.

  • Review ECO’s and implement new work instructions, tooling, testers, and any training that might be needed for plant assembly.

  • Investigate production problems to determine causes and to recommend corrective actions.

  • Write work instructions for new manufacturing processes.

  • Train supervisors and operators in accordance with work instructions.

  • Initiate continuous improvement activities.

  • Provide technical support for Maintenance personnel.

  • Acting liaison between Manufacturing, Maintenance, QC, R&D, and Purchasing departments.

  • Design automated testers to aid the manufacturing processes.

  • Work with appropriate departments to determine manufacturing needs on new product development.

  • Work with outside vendors to resolve manufacturing issues.

  • Some travel will be required.


  • Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering, Work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

  • Experience in a medium volume PCA manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience with Altium is a plus.

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers.

  • A hands-on person with shop floor experience is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Automated test equipment design experience a plus.

  • PLC Software (GE Proficy Machine Edition) experience is a plus.
