PDS Tech Inc MRB/Product Review Engineer (Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Assemblies) in Heath, Ohio
PDS Tech is seeking an MRB/Product Review Engineer (Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Assemblies) for an open position in Heath OH. The candidate must either have a Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
This position is c urrently working a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite 2 days remote; schedule may change as CDC guidelines change .
The selected candidate will be responsible for production support guidance, navigation and control systems for use by the U.S. Navy. Close coordination with internal and external customers and functional representatives from Operations, Quality Assurance and other engineering disciplines will be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Some experience with non-conformance (NC) management
Recently (within < 3 years) worked in a manufacturing environment; this position is not research development- they will be hands on supporting a shop floor in an operational environment
Engineering Degree Type: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace
Ability to obtain secret clearance
The candidate will:
Apply knowledge of design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
Analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
Identify documents, analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolution.
Develop and implement product/process improvements.
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews.
Represent the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with standards.
Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Participate in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team.
Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment.
Design interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis.
Develop non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards.
Conducts simple static strength analysis.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3+ years of experience generating/approving work instructions, work orders, planning documents
3+ years of experience in NCM, or Nonconformance Management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and/or interface control documents
Experience in electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies
