PDS Tech Commercial is seeking candidates for a Financial Systems Analyst position in Herndon, VA.

Position Summary:

You will assist the Financial Systems Senior Manager in various project management activities, such as development of Excel/VBA, GoogleSheet complex reports, month-end close processes and operational systems. You will also coordinate and implement ITcore system upgrades and improvements to the current data extraction tool. You will support the development of IBM Planning Analytics by delivering enhanced reports to the Controlling and Accounting teams in the preparation of various charts and monthly reporting packages (including month-end reconciliations and Budget dashboards). Knowledge of SQL script is preferred.

This is a temporary position with no defined end date.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Excel-related Project Management Activities: 50%:

• VBA

• Excel & Text file manipulation & creation through code

• XMLHTTP GET & POST requests

• Multiple Modules / Subs working together

• Public functions and variables

• Custom Excel Formulas

• SeleniumBasic

• Advanced Formulas

• International formats for dates & figures

1. Google related Project Management Activities: 30%

• Google Apps Script

• Google Sheet manipulation & creation through code

• Advanced Formulas

1. SAP Analytics Cloud related Project Management Activities: 20%

• R-code visualization

• Intermediate Modeling/Dashboarding knowledge

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

• Excel VBA : mandatory knowledge

• Google script : Preferred

• SAC : Preferred

• Interested in coding : Preferred

Education:

• Required : Bachelor degree

• Preferred : Master

Experience:

• Required : 1 year

• Preferred : 2 years

Licensure/Certifications:

• Required : Excel-VBA

• Preferred : SQL

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

• Required : Coding

• Preferred : Finance

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with macro design and complex reports

Technical Systems Proficiency:

• Excel VBA and SQL

Travel Required:

• 10% Domestic and International
