PDS Tech Inc IM Project Manager - Digital Transformation in Herndon, Virginia

AKKA Technologies (mother company of PDS) is looking for an IM Project Manager for Digital Transformation projects.

The candidate will lead several small to medium size concurrent IM projects for Corporate Functions of our customer (a leader in aerospace).

This support includes but is not limited to: Workday integration with Concur, Concur SSO, FISH deployment, proof of concept initiatives for Digital Transformation, etc…


  • Act as the project manager for multiple projects concurrently, to deliver projects on-Time, on-Cost, on-Quality.

  • Work cross-functionally to effectively guide projects: Develop and then manage project plans and associated milestone deliverables, from Requirements gathering to Go-live and Operational viability.

  • Scope, plan, and manage process against the plan. Track, follow up and report on project financials, LOEs, action items, issues and risks, escalate as needed, and propose solutions to ensure project delivery.

  • Coordinate all actions with all stakeholders acting in the project. Conduct regular steering committee reviews and/or weekly / bi-weekly status updates.

  • Create project management documentation, process documents and communication.

  • Develop effective working relationships with internal customer’s personnel.

  • Interacts with both business and technical counterparts, including infrastructure and governance, as required to solve operational issue but also propose improvement plan.

  • Collaborates with global divisional and group counterparts to understand and align requirements for support functions applications where possible.

This role will work under the control and the responsibility of the Head of IM Corporate Solutions & Digital Enablement in North America with guidance by the Head of IM PMO.

Required skills:

  • 5+ years Enterprise IM Project Management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

  • Experience in a global office / high tech industry

  • Experience in taking direction from and interfacing with corporate governance and the PMO

  • Soft skills – presentation, inter-personal skills

  • Technical skills in Project Management Tools, PlanView, Jira, GSuite

  • Project Methodology (Waterfall or Agile)

  • High-level Architecture Requirements

  • Test Plan and scenarios

  • Deployment Plan and Instructions

  • Operating Model and Instructions

  • Training Plans and User Manuals
