PDS Tech Inc Revenue Accountant in Hillsboro, Oregon

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Revenue Accountant in Hillsboro, OR.

  • Based at MSDs headquarters in Hillsboro, OR, this position will collaborate with the Sales Accounting team to support the finance initiatives of the company. This position reports directly to the North America SSD Controller.

  • The accounting team is charged with delivery of financial statements that result in timely, accurate and relevant information which facilitates management decision-making. A successful candidate in this position will improve and maintain strong internal controls, provide necessary support to business and operational units and enjoy working in a collaborative work environment.

The Position

  • Primary responsibilities include reviewing customer sales documents and assisting to record revenue transactions. The Revenue Accountant will support the Sales Controller in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process. Specific deliverables include:

  • Review customer sales quotes, customer purchase orders and other legal documents involved with revenue transactions

  • Work closely with Sales Operations team to ensure compliance with customer purchase orders, inter-company purchases, customer invoicing and other issues associated with revenue transactions

  • Assist with recording revenue transactions including system sales, accessories, training, SAB and other misc revenue

  • All other duties associated with monthly and quarter closes as required, such as journal entries, account reconciliations and supplemental reporting

  • Assist Sales Controller as needed with both internal and external auditor requests in support of revenue recognition and compliance.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Requires a University degree in Accounting or equivalent degree/experience.

  • Requires approximately 2+ years of experience in the Accounting field with exposure to international regions.

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP

  • Revenue recognition knowledge including ASC 606 and working with Multiple Element/Performance Obligation transactions

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to drive and provide solutions.

  • Ability to set priorities.

  • Team player.

  • Prior experience working with internal and external auditors.

  • Monthly/quarterly accounting closing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced excel skills is required.
