PDS Tech Inc Help Desk in Huntsville, Alabama
The candidate will be responsible for Tier I & and some tier II Service and Support. Support includes: answering the Service Desk email and phone line, assisting customers with basic PC, printer, and phone support, hardware and software troubleshooting, creating and supporting WebEx meetings, and overseeing ticket system assignments. Some tier II support will be required via Remote Desktop connection and may include PC troubleshooting and software installation and updates. This position will involve interacting with the client employees at all levels of the organization.
The candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. A customer-friendly approach to service along with the ability to follow security protocol is expected and required of this position. Candidate must have the ability to see a task through to completion and be consciences about documentation. Basic Qualifications: Three to five years of IT Support and Service experience required. Ability to provide friendly and effective customer support via: phone, email, and ticket system. Active Directory experience in an enterprise environment is required. Experience with WebEx or web conferencing systems is a plus. Experience with remote desktop support of workstations, peripheral devices, and mobile devices.
This position requires knowledge and experience related to personal computers, networking, Microsoft operating systems & applications, and hardware troubleshooting. Qualified candidates will possess (and maintain) a valid driver's license and must be able to climb, push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds without aid. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate. Candidates with alternate platform experience such as Linux and Macintosh will be given preference.
Other Qualifications: Additionally, candidates with Information Technology related certifications and automation experience will be given preference. Security Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
