PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Tech Support Specialist in Indianapolis, IN.
What is the primary mission of this role?
- Performs a wide variety of technical tasks in the production/test environment. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and installs a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical assemblies. May assist in the development of procedures. Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment. Observes, analyzes and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment. Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. Checks for work correctness. May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks.
What are the main functions of this role?
Under Limited supervision performs a wide variety of technical efforts including processes, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs RF equipment.
Performs tests and utilizes various engineering drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks.
May also work on Analog, Digital and High Voltage circuits as well. Observes, analyzes and reports test data.

How is will the contractor’s success be measured?
Troubleshooting and repairing to standard work hours
Documenting work history and product status in Manufacturing Information System
Ensuring paperwork is correctly filled out and work processes are documented
Will this contractor be working in a collaborative team environment or as an independent contributor?
- Primarily an independent contributor, but there are times where working in a collaborative team environment is required
Required Skill Sets:
4-6 Year Experience testing RF circuitry. Ability to read and interpret drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.
Experience using a wide variety of electronic RF/Analog, High Voltage, Digital and other electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters .
Familiarity in these testing areas is recommended: Insertion Loss, VSWR, Phase, gain, amplifiers, crystal detector circuits for fault monitoring, Analog to digital conversion, Up converting / Downconverting, Crystal/ SAW Oscillating, Multipliers, S-band, L-band and X-Band frequencies

Education Level Required:
- High School (minimum) with previous military experience and/or secondary training
Years of Experience Required (if any):
- 2-4 years minimum
College, Trade-school, or military education.
Experience in Metrology (electrical).
Experience using either Scalar or Vector Type Network Analyzers.
Knowledge in RF: Taking measurements, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair
