PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Tech Support Specialist in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Description:

  • The company is seeking successful candidate to perform a wide variety of technical tasks in the production/test environment.

  • Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and installs a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and may assist in the development of procedures.

  • Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific test equipment.

  • Observes, analyzes and reports test data, and when appropriate, makes necessary repairs/adjustments to equipment.

  • Utilizes various engineering drawings, schematics, manuals and related documentation to perform tasks.

  • Checks work for correctness.

  • May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks for bargaining unit personnel.

  • Tasking may include repair and adjustment of: analog, digital and high voltage circuits.


  • 4 years’ experience testing and repair complex circuitry (down to component level)

  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges

  • Previous experience working with high-level test equipment

  • Ability to multitask and think outside the box

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/ computers

  • Ability to work a 2nd shift position

Desired Skills:

  • Experience using a wide variety of electronic RF/Analog, High Voltage, Digital and other electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters

  • Familiarity with Insertion Loss, VSWR, Phase, gain, amplifiers, crystal detector circuits for fault monitoring, Analog to digital conversion, Up converting / Downconverting, Crystal/ SAW Oscillating, Multipliers, S-band, L-band and X-Band frequencies

  • Previous experience working in a depot environment on military hardware

  • Previous experience with testing product in anechoic chambers

Education Level Required:

  • High School graduate or GED with previous military experience and/or secondary training preferred.


  • This position will train on first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30PM) for 90 to 120 days then move to a second shift position.
