PDS Tech is seeking a Platform Engineer in Irving, TX
No corp to corp, W-2 Only
Onsite only position
Direct Hire Role
The responsibilities of the Platform Engineer- MES role includes but are not limited to:
Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows & Linux servers in the Cloud or OnPrem environments
Performing software installations, patches, and upgrades as well as system backup and recovery, analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software and networking issues.
Configuring, debugging and supporting multiple infrastructure platforms.
This individual will be required to work closely with members of the Technology Services team and subject matter experts, technical staff, and project managers. This individual will be required to work nights and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers
3+ years’ experience administering Microsoft Servers
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree; or equivalent work experience
Experience administering of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Experience performing automation and configuration management with Puppet and Terraform
Working knowledge of Netbackup or equivalent policies and client software
Proficient in administrating VMWare
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
