Job Summary

Plant Mechanical Engineer I

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the planning, coordination and execution activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery; Assist other Engineers to coordinate requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery

• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition

• Collect equipment downtime information and share with appropriate Engineer to analyze

• Prepare preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration programs

• Project management and detailed engineering of smaller projects (? $100,000), including planning, detailed design, procurement, construction management, quality, budget and optimization

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years industrial manufacturing experience

• Effective communication, interpersonal, collaboration, project management, and relationship building skills

• Good English language skills, written and oral

• Good Analytical and problem solving (decision making) skills

• Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies

• Good organizational and presentation skills

• Intermediate computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chemical process industry experience.
