PDS Tech Inc Quality Control Paint Inspector in Kaukauna, Wisconsin

Looking for a motivated Quality Control Paint Inspector for our 1st shift to assist in achieving satisfactory performance in blasting and painting stage of the fabrication of tanks, vessels, structural frames and piping process. Ideal candidates would have painting or quality control experience in painting, blasting, manufacturing or fabrication. NACE or SSPC certification is ideal but not required. Must provide verification of any certifications.

Job duties:

• Read and understand blueprints, product data sheets and specifications

• Conduct visual inspections of blast profiles and coated parts

• Conduct other QC operations in compliance with customer specifications such as holiday testing, verifying ambient temperatures, blotter test, salt test, etc.

• Monitor/observe blasting and painting operations to ensure compliance to project specifications and manufacturers data sheets

• Perform, monitor and record test data

• Prepare, record and review paint test reports

• Identify and record any product quality problems

• Report finding and inspection results to QC Manager

Qualifications:

• Minimum education requirement of High School graduate or equivalent

• Excellent documentation skills

• Attention to detail/thoroughness/accurate/neatness

• Ability to read a ruler

• Good math skills – working with numbers

• Mechanically Inclined

• Timely reporting

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent Attendance and dependable

• Self- motivated/Ability to work independently

• Ability to work with diverse groups and handle situations appropriately

• This position will require the ability to work 9-10 hours on your feet, ability to lift 30-50 lbs., squat, twist, bend, climb ladders, etc.

• Willing to work OT when needed or required
