**Pay: $18/.50/hour

**Location: Lansing, MI

**Shift: Start and end times may vary depending on business needs, but this role is for day shift. Scheduled shift hours could be 5a-1p, 6a-2p, 7a-3p. Overtime expected!

Job Description:

MAINTENANCE HELPER (NOT A FULL TECH):

• Safely assists Maintenance Lead and Technicians with various tasks related to maintaining and repairing equipment within the manufacturing facility.

• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties, including: LOTO, hazardous waste management, and hazardous chemical storage

• Use appropriate PPE, work practices, and other controls to minimize risk exposure to yourself and others on site

• Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas

• Assist with preventative maintenance on facility equipment. This may include changing oil, changing belts, servicing filtration systems, changing air filters, checking for damaged components, etc.

• Assist with facility maintenance/repairs as needed, notify supervision of any items that cannot be resolved with a “See it, Fix it” approach

• Sustain project ownership. I.e., determine extent of a repair, use appropriate parts, and complete the repair. • Assist with maintaining & providing work order details to supervision (hours, parts, etc.)

• Interact with all levels of employees on site, from machine operators to the Division Manager Required

Qualifications:

• Advocate HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) minded work and processes

• Self-motivated team member requiring minimal supervisor/guidance

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, etc.

• Operate fork truck and scissor lift (training provided)

• Ability to utilize time effectively, along with accurately estimating repair/project timelines

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask • Effectively communicate with team members

• 2+ years of preventative maintenance experience

Desired Qualifications/Skills (not required):

• Experience in manufacturing environment required

• Metal fabrication and basic carpentry skills desired

• HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical experience desired

• Electronics troubleshooting desired

• CNC experience desired

Pay Details: $18.50 per hour
