PDS Tech Inc Design Checker II in Louisville, Colorado

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Design Checker II, for a Remote Opportunity:

Do you have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for you! As a Design Checker II, you will examine basic engineering drawings/models and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design. These cover a very wide range, from state of the art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll be responsible to ensure drawing completeness, clarity, dimensional accuracy, and conformity to design/drafting standards and specifications. You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs.

Other duties to include Standard Part modeling in and release to be use across all business areas within the company.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Associates Degree in Drafting or other related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware and or electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes

  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principle

Preferred:

  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools

  • Exposure to Documentation Control Database and/or Materials Resource Planning (MRP) Systems

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military
