Technical Trainer Job Description - $25/hr.
3 Week Assignment Starting 10/12/20
Technical Trainer Job Responsibilities:
Train and prepare temporary Election Day Field Support Technicians (FSTs) in startup, operation, and closing tasks for voting equipment. Educate individuals in required communication and reporting tasks and protocols.
Technical Trainer Job Duties:
Educate FSTs in operation of equipment following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; resolving issues and reporting status of activities.
Train multiple classes daily in technical tasks to set up, maintain and close the voting system devices in a single polling place.
Conduct training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and situational specific use of the devices comprising a polling location.
Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, technical tasks and reporting requirements, understanding job-specific functions and tasks.
Maintains safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Evaluates training effectiveness against specific job and customer objectives.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Technical Trainer Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent presentation skills,
Good written communication skills,
Experience in training adults in technology preferred
Comfortable and confident in front of a large group
Good time management skills
Team Leadership skills
Ability to assess and rate trainees on skills acquired
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Job is full-time for three weeks in October/November. Must be available for Election Day, November 3. May need to travel, may need to stay overnight; travel expenses covered.
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Must be able to pass a background check (NO felony charges)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
