PDS Tech is currently recruiting for an EHS in Madison, AL!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance with the OSHA and all related regulations for Health and Safety.
Maintain compliance with Environmental regulations governed by the EPA and ADEM.
Manage the training and development functions to address the organization’s needs.
Knowledge with basic policies on safety and occupational health, mental health, and workplace environment management
Implementation of education on safety and work environment
Continuous surveillance with action plans implemented to ensure potential problems are addressed, eliminated, an/or controlled
Completely knowledgeable in the OSHA and how to competently apply its contents to our operations
Must be a strong initiator and manager, capable of overseeing situations with a take-charge presence
Investigation of dangerous and harmful work environment conditions and guidance for improvement
Work on planning and promotion of work-related accident measures and work-related compensation
Develop training/employee development programs such as:
Lift truck, crane, handling, lifting, etc.
Safe and proper handling of equipment/materials, etc
Safe operational conditions involving air testing, isocyanate control, acid spills procedure, etc.
Material safety data sheets/personal protective equipment program
You are responsible for contributing to the achievement of the Quality Objectives.
Formulation and promotion of environmental policies
In-house promotion activities of ISO14000 environmental system (including internal audit and training of audit committee members)
Environmentally hazardous substance data management
Management of customer environmental request documents
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or related experience necessary
Five years experience in a compliance and safety field
