PDS Tech Inc Engineering Technician in Madison, Alabama
Under limited supervision, performs non-routine and complex component level repair. Manages work area to maximize efficiency. May assist lower level technicians. Conducts tests or experiments, analyzes results, and modifies equipment to improve repair performance. Familiar with a variety of related test equipment to perform hardware and software diagnostics in the troubleshooting process.
Other duties may include but are not limited to:
Evaluate and review Customer’s requirements and products for inclusion into the client process and engineering instructions
Design, develop, implement, monitor, and maintain testing processes, equipment, programs, and environment
Travel to Customer/OEM facilities to receive technical training and discuss technical issues
Maintain and analyze data to increase accuracy, efficiency, and quality standards
Evaluation of processes and time studies for the purpose of process optimization
Participate in the role of technical liaison between the Customer, and/or OEM
Tools or Equipment Used:
Strong computer skills, RF Test Station, O-scope, & other electronic test/calibration/measurement equipment, soldering iron
High school diploma or GED; 2-year associates degree or equivalent military/work experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in electronics related field.
Hazard Communication training,
OJT and any further training required by the customer.
