PDS Tech Inc Test Engineer in Madison, Alabama
Designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing electronic telecommunications equipment in a high mix high volume environment. Creating and maintaining test related processes and procedures according to Department and Customer requirements. Troubleshooting and maintaining test systems and equipment. Supporting electronics testing and functional failure debug.
Job Duties: Manages test engineering activities to meet or exceed key performance objectives as defined by management Executes goals and plans to meet or exceed objectives. Interacts with cross functional teams to achieve departmental, plant, divisional and corporate objectives. Regularly interacts with management. Occasionally interacts with Customer management. .
Responsibilities: Writing detailed test plans, maintenance procedures, test operational work instructions and test procedures Executing structured problem-solving efforts Maintaining the test labor standards and capacity analysis for products Effective and clear communication to management on status of projects Identifying and driving test and process improvements to closure Identifying and communicating product software and hardware deficiencies to customers Training technicians in debug of functional test failures and use of diagnostic equipment
Education and Experience: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in Electronics or Telecommunications Minimum of 5 years’ experience installing and maintaining Central Office equipment, provisioning customer circuits, and provisioning transport circuits. Must be a US Citizen.
