PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking Operations - Electrician 6 in Melbourne, FL
- New Product Introduction- Electronic Engineering Technician This candidate will work directly with the NPI, Design, and OPS engineers to analyze and resolve design and manufacturing test problems to influence product design to drive predictability and repeatability into operations and improve customer value.
Other duties include:
Eliminate/reduce test defects and improve test yields.
Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.
Studies test equipment performance and reliability and establishes programs and solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.
This includes troubleshooting LabView code.
Receives little instruction on daily work. Receives detailed instruction on new tasks or processes.
Follows established procedures and processes.
Intermediate use and application of standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes.
Develops solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and difficulty under the guidance of more senior engineers.
Develops, implements, and maintains test methods and processes in the manufacture and test of sub-assembly, module, and top level product for moderately difficult product lines.
Determines proper test flows and sequencing for the efficient flow of new products and existing product improvements.
Provides technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.
Maintains test documentation in current configuration and oversees accurate change management procedures for test documents for NPI products.
Analyzes established manufacturing test processes for cost reduction opportunities.
Build and repair test cables (RF & interface cables)
Develops working knowledge of moderately difficult test systems and hardware.
Provides technical assistance and support to sub-assembly and top-level testing.
May provide Material Review Board analysis and disposition of Collins and/or supplier products.
Candidate should have RF knowledge in analog or microwave frequencies.
Must be proficient in the use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, frequency counters, and power measurement equipment.
Must be able to apply application of electronic theory to configure, model, layout, build, test, troubleshoot, determine solutions and modify electronic product for engineering efforts applicable to the department or program.
