Our client is looking to hire highly qualified Quality Assurance Inspectors that will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. The ideal candidate is one that possesses a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards for manufacturing production is essential.

Key Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Follow all established safety and work standards and advocates safety throughout the plant. Safety is the number one priority.

  • Performs quality audits according to industry measurements and standards. Makes a determination whether product meets criteria.

  • Complete First Part Approvals to ensure production product accuracy against work order.

  • Uses gauges and other measurement devices to verify conformity to company standards of components and assemblies.

  • Measure and document per part specification.

  • Create NCRs for any out of tolerance condition products and place suspect product in need of rework on hold.

  • Work with Machining, Tooling, and Engineering departments on quality issues that arise until product is back to standard quality.

  • Perform quality testing/review on incoming material and/or processes.

  • Assist Quality Manager in completing quality improvement projects.

  • Communicate with other Quality Tech on recent quality issues and wins.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with production on quality issues and improvements.

  • Investigate improvement opportunities and document them as required.

  • Verifies that action was taken to correct the non-conformance.

  • Monitors compliance to the AS9100 business system and ensures action is taken to address non-compliance when identified.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Quality Inspection role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.

  • Working knowledge of metal machining, welding, metal-finishing, and general assembly experience

  • Possesses critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Experience working in an AS9100 regulated environment.

  • Must have clear understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.

  • Ability to comprehend all engineering blueprints and written engineering procedures.

  • Strong ability to use and read measuring devices such as scales, calipers, micrometers, or height gauges.

  • CMM PC-DMIS and FARO Blue Light scanner, and POLUWORKS experience a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Academic and Physical Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills. Vocational Training considered a plus!

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted; be able to push, pull, sit, stand, and bend up to 8 hours per day.

  • Work overtime as required to meet operational objectives.
